Ann Takamaki Uniform Review

Since this is a lot more simple than a zipped catsuit, I figured the uniform might also be safe to buy... I just really, REALLY didn't want to make that hoodie. xDD
The blazer is actually quite well made. It has SHOULDER PADS and is fully lined. Unfortunately, while it fits perfectly in the shoulders and arms, it gets way too wide in the torso, so I will have to tinker with it a little. And since it is lined, that means it will take some effort... Another unfortunate detail is their choice to make it versatile, so you can actually wear the sleeves full length with all the buttons... but that just makes rolling the sleeves up the way Ann wears it somewhat uncomfortable... ^^;;
The hoodie is great! Slightly longer than I had hoped, but I suppose accurate to Ann's impossible anime body. It's sleeveless for comfort inside of the blazer, and makes a darn cute sweater dress. It features all of the details (stripes, shamrock, S, drawstrings). I just need to add little beads to the end of the strings.
The skirt... "How could they mess up a pleated skirt?" Miccostumes rose to the challenge and printed the image on some awful polyester with a shiny sheen to it. HOWEVER - printing it means the plaid is accurate, and I can reuse it for any of the other girls... and it is barely visible anyway... That and it fits perfectly.
The leggings... Well, I can't say much here. The are leggings. xD They fulfill their purpose. Slight sheen to them as well, but not obnoxious. They aren't too baggy, either. I may wear opaque red tights instead, but the cosplay is quite warm and cozy this way... xD
And that's a wrap! It's about what I expected - some surprises here and there, both pleasant and unpleasant. I'm glad I waited until it was 50% off to purchase it, but it definitely saved me a lot of work that can be given to other projects. That and I can wear the hoodie casually. :3
