After some hilarious misadventures getting the shape of my shoulders figured out, I finally made a shape I am happy with for Silky's capelet.
Unfortunately, when it was time to add the contrast trim and fringe, I abruptly decided that I was no longer a fan of the very stiff and textured fabric I had used. While I like adding elements to costumes to make them seem like costumey, this one just didn't sit well with me...
I had some extra fabric that I was going to use for ANOTHER part of Silky that didn't work out, and it turned out to be the perfect colour. It is a soft fabric with a slight sheen to it, so at least it will still stand out from what is otherwise a mess of cotton...
