Added 2019-07-15 22:50:41 +0000 UTCI completely forgot to share this! In the top photo only the red layer was actually sewn, but now both are ready.
I find hemming by double-folding to be very satisfying. All the ugly raw edges are trapped inside!
It can also look interesting when the sides of the fabric are different.
Ruffles!
Unfortunately the green fabric was cut on a very extreme angle at the store, so I had to Frankenstein the pieces together...
There will be a small ugly section on the back of my skirt. Hopefully it will be hidden once the skirt is gathered. (Left - outside; right inside)
