Tablet issues

I made progress but with everything else going on, forcing myself to make the end of the month would affect me poorly health-wise. I will do my best to make up for the delay in the next month and make sure the next voted piece makes up for it as well.

I already brought it up on both Twitter and the Patreon Discord, but figured I'd make a post about it here too just in case anyone has missed it.

"So, for the last 1-2 months I've been having tablet issues that got worse/more frequent over time. The tablet pen would randomly die for several seconds while the tablet lights are still on. The last 2-3 weeks it'd stop working for a frustratingly long time and it'd happen quite frequently too.
It's a big reason I haven't streamed as much either (and most work I post come from streams, so I've mostly been doing doodles and no bigger colored pieces), because it'd destroy any bit of motivation I had.
I've tried different USB slots, reinstalled the driver, installed older versions but it kept happening. Today I also tried to test it on Shaw's PC and the same thing happened.
So it sounds like it's a tablet related issue, WHICH HONESTLY wouldn't be too big of a surprise as I've had this tablet for 8, maybe 9, years now.
I will order a new tablet today or tomorrow, while I will try and use this one to finish work. I don't expect any delays in the monthly piece! But I figured I'd post about this just in case the tablet completely dies and the new one isn't here yet!"
The new tablet has been ordered so now I'm waiting for it to arrive.
I will do my very best to finish this months piece on time, but depending on when it arrives I may not be able to make the deadline and I want to apologize beforehand if that's the case!
I also want to apologize for how slow I have been with art this month due to both this issue and taking a short one-week break as I was having guests over. The combo turned out to be a lot more worse art/production-wise than I honestly expected

2021-08-31 09:49:20 +0000 UTCThe tablet is 8 years old, even if it was just the pen I'd gladly replace it! ; ; I also been drawing (as a test to see if it's a pen issue bc I thought the same before getting the new tablet) with the old pen on the new tablet and in the 3-4 hours I streamed it hadn't died once!

2021-08-26 14:29:48 +0000 UTCI wonder if its a dying pen issue? I feel like i had a similar issue a some years ago, but it was just the pen dying. Replaced the pen & it kept working.

I, for one, wholeheartedly believe that taking a break to be with visitors is fantastic (especially during this time of isolation due to the pandemic). And technology is fallible, so no worries on the tablet front either. We'll be here whenever you produce new works. :)
