2021-03-25 21:08:54 +0000 UTCI think it's interesting how Itachi and Kisame speak so highly of Jiraiya as someone they shouldn't tangle with, and yet we heard Orochimaru just two or three episodes ago say that Itachi is stronger than he is (perhaps he's just saying this due to his disabled arms). But either way it sets up the power heiarchy with the idea that Jiraiya could have defeated Orochimaru on his own during the invasion. Really makes you think. (To the patreon fam: I have seen this series and know how it all plays out with scaling, and I'm just throwing out food for thought given this information in the order the show has provided it)
