lmao stop saying it's such a shounen, they're doing certain things not just because they're the hallmark of stereotypical shounen shows, but bc they're going to be important throughout the entire series. For example, the reason itach was able to get out of Jiraiaya's jutsu is not bc Jiraiya just said "no one has ever been able to get out of this jutsu!". The jutsu Itachi used, Amaterasu (the black fire), to get out is that much more significant to show in its entirety. What I'm trynna say is that they're not just talking they're actually backing up those seemingly made-up-on-the-spot sentences to make a new character seem badass.

This episode is what is always in my mind when other things happen and I still feel like Naruto felt in this very moment, “but why?” And the show never gave ME a reason to not despise this man, with all my might, even after everything... what surprise me is how so many people just went along with it and became such simps after 🤷🏻♀️ I never could but it tells you how good is the author at manipulating our feelings with his genius writing 🥰

Kakashi got stabbed with multi bodies watching himself get carved up for 72 hours.... 3 whole Fucking days ..... .... in only 1 second of real time And Saukes had to Relived the death of his clan through his own finding them dead and Itachis perspective of murdering them.. for how ever many times he replayed it to sasuke But still only in a second in real time That insane torture and so cruel. That being said because kakashi’s wasn’t real and he knew it was genjutsu I would say he got it easier. The fact that he had to keep telling himself it’s ok it’s an illusion And made it three days shows how beats he is Only passing out after he as free of the 72 hour hell Now they both suffered Through Serous mental pains and the average person probably would have died from mental breakdown But Sauskes actually happened Imagine having to relive the worst night of your life probably only an hour of events Your memories of walking through saying you’re dead family members And your brothers memories of murdering them in cold blood. Then let that replay for hours But once again One second has passed.... Yeaaaa

Tsukuyomi is an ability of his Sharingan that puts his opponent into the "nightmare realm" where all of those long-term attacks occur in a brief moment, and Amaterasu as you correctly surmised is the name of this black flames ability.
