I love this series and have been following the manga and anime for the past 20 years. It will make you laugh, cry, feel shocked, and feel amazed at how wonderful the writing is. So many little hidden details, so much nuance, so much depth, to the world and to the characters in this series. You really feel that Oda himself is enjoying this more than anyone else. A world of this depth is due in no small part to the fact that Oda has been working on this manga since he was in high school. The first saga of One Piece and its individual five arcs are, (as youtuber Mother's Basement explains so well) essentially the tutorial zone of a massive, epic, open-world game. This saga will get you used to the basic rules and mechanics and story elements of this massive world. If you enjoy it THIS much already after just the first 6 episodes, I am very much looking forward to your grand adventure in the world of One Piece.
