Its hard to see there is absolutely no check and balances here. No one to say to them you cant just do this because you deem it so. I think that's what this girl brings to the table just a new way of thinking everyone in that room was either bought out, or under his thumb in some way. So the status quote is kept. But after the duel what happens its all back to normal or will this duel show people one man has to much power.
