August Update

It's a new month, so it's time to reveal what's planned for Bloodcrave in the upcoming weeks.

First of all, expect two new builds this month: one around the middle and another at the end. Also, at the end of the month, we'll launch the Kickstarter for Bloodcrave. If you haven't followed us yet, please do!

This month, we'll focus on scenes with love interests and quality-of-life features.

Some older scenes will receive some glow-up, like added backgrounds and additional variants, i.e., Zoe x Amelia - FJ.

We'll also add Rylen's voice acting (we were supposed to do it last month but weren't satisfied with the results and were looking for a replacement).

New Features:

Texting will be much smoother. You will be able to skip through texting using the left control key, just like with regular dialog. Alternatively, you can click the left mouse button to make the next message appear faster.

With the next patch, you'll receive a notification about failure or success whenever your personality stats (corruption/confidence) or skills (combat/athletics/insights) are being tested. This should make you appreciate how often the game considers your stats. We're still debating whether to do the same for relationship checks and when the path is affected by past choices, but for now, we think it's better if those remain hidden.

If you don't like scenes on the disturbing side of things, such as vampires feeding on blood or enthrallment, you'll be able to skip them with the new update. It will affect only scenes from the villain's perspective. If you turn on the “trigger warning” setting before a disturbing scene starts, you'll see a notification about the content in the scene (drinking blood), and you'll be able to skip to the end of the scene or continue with the scene. Keep in mind that the events in the scene still happen if you skip them, just off-screen. We'll make sure that you still learn about any critical plot stuff that happens in the scene.

You'll also be able to filter out content with pairings that you don't like. When you start a new game, select the pairing you don't wish to see (Male x Female, Female x Female, or Male x Male). If you decide to filter out any pairing, choices leading to scenes with those pairings will be unavailable. On top of that, you'll be able to mute male/female voice lines or moaning.

Lastly, we reworked the settings and the save system. You'll see more options, and the save system will be more intuitive. The game will also autosave at the beginning of each day.
