A CatScratch Update!

Hello!

Today I have for you a wall of text updating what's been going on behind the scenes and to explain the quiet over the last month! I've been shovelling my efforts into various projects, some small some bigger and it's been a right mess trying to get things finished enough to a state to be worth updating, but it's been too long so here it is!

I'm setting myself a new deadline to get things done, and that date is the 22nd of July(the date of the next Sleepover! https://twitter.com/FurrySleepover)

So what kind of stuff have I been working on?

1. A huge admin overhaul, naturally I still havn't a figured out a pipeline to contain and share all our content in a way that makes sense, and helps keep me keep on top of things. I'm having someone join the team in the next month to help manage this, a digital assistance (that makes it sound like some AI thing but no, a real person!) who I hope will make things a lot easier. Part of this process is overhauling my entire file structure (down to the naming of files) and naturally after 100 video shoots and 500 photoshoots this will take some time. On top of this I've been in the process of setting up a second physical office, thus increasing the need for a cloud storage solution. This will have a lot of trickle down effects and benefits, including better access to content for Patrons!

2. Videos. I'm currently sitting on 3-5 unfinished videos of various sizes, with plans to film another one in the next couple of weeks, but aiming back at that 22nd July deadline I have a huge drive to finish these works, and clear the slate for new exciting projects. This of course has been made harder working from two locations, and having all my admin turned upside down, but its all part of the process!

3. I had surgery! A couple weeks ago now I had gone in for minor elective surgery that resulted me bedridden for a few days, even more staying away from sitting for so long, but the worst of that has gone now and I'm feeling right as rain.

4. A major website and branding overhaul! I wish changing a website and logo took as long as doing a photoshoot, but a major challenge of course of working mostly alone is the time it takes to do side projects like this (for the better good of CatScratch in the future!) But I am so delighted and excited to share the website version 3.0

The barebones are coming together, and the flesh of content grows around it! The new design really lights my inspiration up, it makes me feel warm seeing what CatScratch is becoming summarized in our new website, and the visual design that highlights all our amazing work! Redoing the best of pages, removing commission information, and reworking our meet the team pages, to give credit where its due and to share more about the amazing folk that make CatScratch what it is today! So that's what's been going on, I hope this doesn't read like an excuse but just an update on the last month. My relationship with my work and goals can truly be summed up as "constantly in catch-up mode" and it's truly my goal (for my own mental health) this next month to demolish what's left on my plate, to return for seconds B] so thank you everyone for your patience! I truly can't wait to overcome this speedbump and get back on track.
