Here I think two things are going on that make the "new" style so much better: 1. even without the hum, it's a larger number of different kinds of sounds, all of which can vary. 2. It's less "realistic," and any time something familiar is defamiliarized, that seems to help with ASMR

Canons are supposed to have one of the best autofocus for video but you tingled it out of focus. So, yeah. Your camera probably agrees with me.
