Fixing the muscle shape key.

Been hard at work to get the mesh looking proper again, after the model got more geometry in certain areas. Here, it’s the shape key for the muscles that needs fixing. On the side of the character, lines are quite close to one another from the arm, down the side and legs, as it is here, that have been added more geometry. More geometry has also been added around the chest area, that now causes the back to look sharply folded.

Here it would be really nice with a tool that can even and relax the mesh, and sculpt mode have that. But unfortunately, it does not leave the mesh completely symmetrical, other sculpt modes also tend to come up a tiny bit asymmetrical. It looks symmetrical and it can behave symmetrical when editing single vertices in edit mode, so further editing makes it hard. The process was long, selecting small areas and use smooth vertices and rebuild the shapes.

 Along with the adjustments, I added more mass to the muscles, and smoothed some very deep crevices on the back of the torso.

 After that, I checked the vertex groups that’s used for cloth sim to deform the muscles and made the necessary changes. And now it was time to test it out and do a pose.
