Naruto: Copy System#739+740: Ryūjin Jakka One-Shots the Adjuchas, I Won't Judge You

"You... When did you get behind us?" the three Adjuchas-level Hollows demanded, their eyes filled with terror as they stared at Shin.

"You didn't actually think you could spy on me without me noticing, did you?" Shin asked, his tone cold. "If you were a group of beautiful women, I might not have minded. But you're not even human."

Shin regarded the three Adjuchas with cold indifference, slowly drawing his Zanpakutō. As the blade cleared its sheath, the oppressive spiritual pressure crushing down on them intensified, becoming even more terrifying.

"Don't be ridiculous. As if a single Soul Reaper could scare us."

One of the Adjuchas lunged, its claws slashing toward Shin. Adjuchas may not wield weapons, but every part of their bodies was a formidable weapon in its own right. Its claws, for instance, could clash with a Zanpakutō and emerge unscathed.

With all its strength concentrated in its powerful arm, it struck at Shin. But just as the blow was about to land, Shin’s figure vanished, startling the other two Adjuchas.

"A Soul Reaper's Shunpo?"

These three Adjuchas were clearly familiar with Soul Reaper abilities. It seemed they had faced their fair share of them.

“<Cero!>”

One of the Adjuchas opened its mouth and fired a Cero.

The attack was far weaker than a standard Cero, but it was twenty times faster. Its speed, both in charging and firing, made it a favorite among many Hollows despite its lower power.

“<Bakudō #81. Dankū!>”

An unchanted Dankū materialized, blocking every attack. When cast by Shin, this barrier couldn't be broken by a mere Cero—not even a Gran Rey Cero from Espada could shatter it.

"I might as well test my abilities on you."

Shin gripped his Zanpakutō, his expression calm and impassive as he watched them.

“All Things In The Universe, Turn To Ash! Ryūjin Jakka!”

The blade erupted in terrifying flames, as if Shin were wielding fire itself—flames that could rival the temperature of the sun's surface.

Though it was only in its Shikai state, Ryūjin Jakka was more powerful than the Bankai of many other Zanpakutō.

Shin’s already terrifying spiritual pressure surged to an even greater height, crushing the Adjuchas with such force that they couldn't even stand.

"What... what kind of monster is this?"

The three Adjuchas stared at Shin in horror. The spiritual pressure he was releasing far surpassed even that of a Vasto Lorde.

And this was Shin holding back. If he were to unleash his full power, the sheer force of his spiritual pressure would shake the entire world. Shin was more than capable of shaking Hueco Mundo to its core, but for three Adjuchas, he had no intention of revealing his true strength.

The power he was displaying now was already overkill—like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut.

"Fire your Ceros together!"

The three Adjuchas struggled to their feet, preparing to counter Shin with their own Ceros.

“<Jōkaku Enjō!>”

Shin swung his blade lightly, unleashing a vortex of fire that engulfed the Adjuchas. In moments, they were reduced to ash.

————————

"I guess I didn't get to show off much."

Shin wore a look of regret. He had barely exerted himself, and the three Adjuchas were instantly annihilated.

"Crap, I forgot to ask if there were any Vasto Lordes around."

Shin smacked his forehead. He had forgotten to ask. Finding a Vasto Lorde on his own would be a real challenge.

"I'll just wait until I run into another Adjuchas."

Shin continued onward, scouting the movements of the Hollows. He was now certain that a Vasto Lorde was commanding them from behind the scenes. Otherwise, three Adjuchas would never have gathered together. Gillians, with their limited intelligence, might cluster, but Adjuchas were a different story. Under normal circumstances, they would never cooperate—they would devour each other on sight.

The relationships between Hollows were brutal. Their evolution was driven by cannibalism. Without a Vasto Lorde to rule over them, Adjuchas would fight the moment they met, the victor consuming the vanquished.

————————

Not long after Shin left, several Soul Reaper Captains arrived at the scene, falling silent as they took in the terrifying aftermath.

The once-sandy desert had been scorched into crystalline glass. A faint spiritual pressure still lingered in the air.

"This wasn't caused by a Hollow, was it?"

Kyōraku Shunsui spoke up.

He had recently been promoted from Vice-Captain of the 5th Division to Captain of the 8th Division. With the previous Captain of the 8th Division having fallen in battle, a replacement was needed urgently. The selection was made from the various Vice-Captains, and Kyōraku was chosen to fill the role, albeit temporarily.

If he proved unsuitable, he would be replaced.

"Hollows don't typically have fire abilities. While there might be exceptions, I still don't think a Hollow caused this," Kiyotaka Shīhōin said.

"I remember Shin was heading in this direction. His Zanpakutō is a fire-type, just like the Head-Captain's. Perhaps he was the one who did this..." he added.

...

"Is Captain Shīhōin trying to take credit for his squad? A Vice-Captain who just joined the Gotei 13? An attack of this scale would be difficult even for a Captain," a disdainful voice cut in. It was the Captain of the 3rd Division, who had a long-standing feud with Kiyotaka Shīhōin.

"Oh? Captain Morita, do you have a problem with Shin?"

Before Kiyotaka could respond, Retsu Unohana’s eyes flashed red as she fixed her gaze on the Captain of the 3rd Division. The terrifying look sent a cold sweat down his back.

The other Captains took a step back, casting pitying glances at him. He had just angered that She-Devil. He was as good as dead. What a fool.

"No, Captain Unohana, please don't misunderstand. I have no problem at all," the Captain of the 3rd Division said, his forehead glistening with sweat.

He had completely forgotten about the close relationship between Shin Uzumaki and Retsu Unohana. Offending Shin was the same as offending her. He hadn't meant to insult Shin—he just wanted to get a rise out of Kiyotaka. He never expected to accidentally cross Unohana. He felt like crying.

Though Retsu Unohana appeared much gentler these days, she still revealed her bloodlust from time to time—a terrifying aura that was truly frightening. Even her fellow Captains didn't dare to provoke her.

<><><><><><><><>

Shin scouted the area for a while before heading back in the evening. He used Shunpo to find Kiyotaka Shīhōin and report on the surrounding situation.

There were indeed Gillian-class Hollows, and quite a few of them. There were also several Adjuchas—four more, besides the three Shin had eliminated.

As for Vasto Lordes, Shin hadn't found any. If he had, they wouldn't have survived.

After speaking with Kiyotaka, Shin left and headed for the central encampment of the 4th Division.

On his way, however, he ran into Kyōraku Shunsui, now the Captain of the 8th Division. Alongside him was Jūshirō Ukitake, Kyōraku's close friend. Both were disciples of Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto.

Shin glanced at Ukitake. He knew that the right arm of the Soul King resided within him. Ukitake, with his gentle demeanor, offered Shin a warm smile.

"Well, fancy meeting you here, Shin."

Kyōraku was somewhat familiar with Shin, having met him during the graduation assessment. Suddenly, he leaned in close to Shin and whispered, "So, what's the deal between you and Captain Unohana?"

"Oh? I didn't take you for a gossip," Shin remarked, looking at the ever-curious Kyōraku Shunsui, not particularly inclined to indulge him.

"Would you mind telling me? I'm just curious. You know, Captain Unohana really went to bat for you earlier," Kyōraku said, unbothered by the label.

Hearing this, Shin gave him a surprised look and asked for the details. He soon learned about the incident with the Captain of the 3rd Division, though he showed no particular reaction.

"By the way, I have another question, if you don't mind me asking. Was that massive destruction earlier your doing?"

Kyōraku asked Shin again. Some had suspected Shin was behind it.

"Yes, it was me. Just ran into three Gillians."

Shin didn't mention they were Adjuchas. If he said he had one-shotted three Adjuchas, it would be a bit too shocking.

"It really was you? You're stronger than you look," Kyōraku said, sizing up Shin.

Three Gillians... even he would have had to put in some effort. The current Kyōraku was much stronger than when Shin had first met him; he had already achieved Bankai. Kyōraku was a genius, otherwise he wouldn't have been a student of Yamamoto. Both he and Ukitake were exceptionally talented. Though Ukitake was frail and sickly, his strength was not to be underestimated.

"Back to my previous question—are you and Captain Unohana a couple? It's the talk of every squad right now," the scruffy-looking Kyōraku asked again. Even though he wasn't yet the middle-aged man he would become, his demeanor had always been a bit unkempt, something Shin attributed to his natural disposition.

"You seem desperate to know. If you really want an answer, I suggest you go ask Retsu Unohana yourself," Shin recommended.

"I think I'll pass," Kyōraku said with an awkward laugh, clearly a bit intimidated by Unohana.

That terrifying aura... he didn't dare provoke her.

"By the way, this is the way to the 4th Division barracks, isn't it? Are you two heading there as well?" Shin asked Kyōraku and Ukitake.

“That's right, Vice-Captain Shin. I'm not feeling well, so Captain Kyōraku is taking me to see someone,” Ukitake said with a gentle smile.

"Oh, I see. Then what's the relationship between you two? I suspect it's not as simple as it seems."

Shin shot Kyōraku and Ukitake a strange, appraising look—the kind of look one gives when they suspect something more is going on between two people.

"Hey, hey, what's with that look? I'm not into that," Kyōraku said quickly. He was still hoping to find a beautiful woman; he couldn't let anyone get the wrong idea.

"Right, I get it," Shin said with a knowing smile.

Kyōraku's face darkened as he saw Shin's teasing smirk. He clearly didn't get it at all; he was completely misunderstanding them.

"Ukitake, aren't you going to help me clear my name?" Kyōraku asked Ukitake.

Ukitake coughed a few times, looking at Kyōraku with a hint of exasperation. The more you tried to prove your innocence in a situation like this, the more suspicious you looked.

"Don't worry, you don't have to explain anything to me. I get it," Shin said with a knowing nod. "I may not understand it, but I won't judge."

Without giving Kyōraku a chance to draw his sword and attack, Shin vanished in a flash of Shunpo.

"What an incredible Shunpo," Ukitake said, his face showing a hint of surprise. He certainly couldn't move that fast. This Vice-Captain Shin was truly worthy of Captain Unohana's high regard; he was probably on par with some of the Captains.

However, Ukitake's frail body wasn't suited for Shunpo or hand-to-hand combat.

"That bastard really pisses me off! If he hadn't run so fast, I would have..."

"Even if he hadn't run, you couldn't have done anything to him, could you?" Ukitake said to Kyōraku with a smile.

"I guess you're right."

Kyōraku rubbed his nose. Setting aside whether he could even defeat Shin, there was still that powerful figure behind him—a figure he didn't dare to cross.

"Let's get to the 4th Division. Ukitake, why didn't you tell me you were injured earlier?" Kyōraku asked, his gaze turning to Ukitake with a hint of annoyance.

As Ukitake's best friend, Kyōraku knew about his frail health and always looked out for him. But to think he would hide his injuries... Kyōraku was very displeased. Did he not consider him a friend?

"I'm fine for now."

Ukitake shook his head. The 4th Division was already overwhelmed with injured Soul Reapers. He didn't want to add to their burden.

Kyōraku shook his head. That was his friend's personality. He'd have to keep a closer eye on him in the future.

Afterward, Kyōraku and Ukitake also arrived at the 4th Division barracks. Just as they were about to look for Retsu Unohana, they were told by a 4th Division member that she wasn't there.

"Not here? That's impossible. I'm sure she's here," Kyōraku said, channeling his inner detective.
