> Travel to Malor

You nod your head and agree to go ahead and travel to Malor. It's a little dark, but Myla seems to be able to see and guide you just fine. You think about all the questions you asked her and tell her you're willing to answer any questions she has about you.

"Questions, huh..." The beastkin thinks for a few moments. "The only one I can really think of..." She stops and thinks for a while more. "Nah, nevermind. I don't really have anything. I uh... I don't like to know other people's business." It does seem like she's hiding something from you.

After a short walk, arrive at Malor. It's already night, so all the shops seem to be closed. You see a guard near the entrance and he sees you as well.

"You're out a bit late, travellers." The young human guard doesn't look too experienced. "O-oh, hey Myla. Is this a new friend? She's-" The guard suddenly notices Myla's round figure. "Whoa! What the... Did you get knocked up or something?!"

"You bloody idiot!" Myla smacks the guard. "I was here a week ago, moron! How would I get this pregnant this fast! I just... ate a big meal."

"O-oh... Sorry." The guard sheepishly backs away. "Wait a second. That jacket... Isn't that Konic's?"

"Yeah. It was." The beastkin smirks. "Mine now. Along with his bounty. If you need more proof, this girl has his axe as well." You nod and show the axe.

"Wow, so you really got rid of him..." The guard looks amazed. "That's gonna piss off some people here... Anyway, you'll have to talk to the captain to get the bounty and I think he was already heading home for the night. You'll probably have to wail till morning."

"That lazy bastard. It's barely night!" Myla growls under her breath. "Bah whatever. Let's just stay at the inn for tonight. That alright with you?"

You nod. You figured that you would have to stay the night here regardless. The two of you leave the guard and head over to the local inn. There's a tavern attached to the same building, but it still seems pretty quiet. The entire town is rather quiet as well. It's almost unnerving.

At the inn, you meet the innkeeper. Well, what appears to be innkeeper's daughter, at least. Or maybe son? It's a little hard to tell. Whatever it is, it's rather short and elf-like in appearance.

"Oh, are you two staying the night here?" The child asks and then notices Myla. "Oh, hi Myla. Wow, you got fat." Myla barely contains her anger at that statement. "Well anyway, if you're going to stay here, it's 10 gold for a room. That would be 20 gold for two rooms, if ya want. Our beds are pretty big though, so you guys could probably just take one." You turn to Myla to ask her if she would want her own room.

"Doesn't matter to me." She's either still mad at the kid, or just avoiding looking at you. "But if you try anything stupid..." You let her know that you understand. This beastkin seems the type to actually live up to her threats.

"Well, what's it gonna be?" The child-like innkeeper asks. "One or two rooms?"
