Becoming a Blade

A series involving the characters of the Xenoblade game series. Blades are weapons that take on the shapes of people, usually humans, and are wielded by people known as drivers. The main character Rex one day decides to take on a mission on his own without the help of his blade. During the mission he meets a mysterious individual who has abilities beyond what he could've imagined, beginning his new path from being a driver to becoming a blade...

So this one actually started out as a comic I drew a while back before I made my game. I mulled over whether I should redo the story or not and ended up remaking the entire thing. Not like I dislike my comic or anything but I decided that I wanted to redo the story entirely in order to make things better and simpler, and also to allow more flexibility for future sequels.

This story will also be the first one that counts as a short story that will usually be half the size of my other stories but with faster pacing. This is so that I can pump out more of my ideas in less time but also because some stories are just more suited for a shorter length rather than being too drawn out. Sometimes the ideas aren't really all that complex and just require something more short and sweet.

Like I've said before the short stories will only count for 1/2 a normal story when it comes to patreon benefits so it shouldn't affect releases all that much. I plan to release short stories in pairs so the next story will also be a short story that was in the poll, Girl Over and Over. Not sure whether I'll be keeping that title though.
