Titan Rumble Ch 30: Burst Free, Crimson Aura!

(Cain)

The Mindscape arena was silent. Aurora stood tall, her posture relaxed yet confident in that smirk—like she already held the win tag in her pocket.

I cracked my neck and stepped forward.

"Alright... let's do this," I whispered.

My foot hit the pavement with a thunk so hard it cracked the tile beneath me. I lunged, fist powered up with New Existence, veins popping, adrenaline roaring.

BOOM!

My fist slammed into Aurora's cheek, and the impact rippled through the air like a miniature tornado. Wind whipped buildings sideways. Dust flew up in a cyclone around us.

Only... she didn't budge. No stagger, no reaction. Just that same cool smirk.

I shook my head. "Seriously?"

Her arms crossed as she reached up and grabbed my blazing arm like it was nothing. She gave it a gentle twist, flipped me over her shoulder, and sent me flying.

I soared through the Mindscape air, thrashing to angle myself. Below, Aurora rushed in—fast as lightning, impossible muscle tone rippling beneath her hoodie—fist cocked for the kill.

Her fist came down like a wrecking ball aimed at my chest. I instinctively braced myself, adrenaline exploding inside me.

And then I phased.

Her fist crashed straight through me as if I were a ghost.

I didn't falter. Instead, with both hands, I grabbed onto her forearm and pushed back with everything I'd got. A shimmering pressure wave erupted where our palms met.

Aurora stumbled—just a hair. Enough.

I landed hard on the pavement, knees cracking, ribs rocking but intact. I caught my breath.

"Oi!" Aurora growled, muscles flexing at the grip. "You're annoying."

I shook my fists free. "You gotta do better than that!"

She laughed—low, throaty. "Oh, we're just warming up."

The ground hummed. The air tingled with electricity.

Lights flickered on the Mindscape buildings. A hum like the start of a storm.

I wiped sweat from my brow. "Alright, let's turn it up."

Aurora cracked her knuckles. Her hair caught the breeze again. Let's just say? The next round was going to be interesting.

They blurred through the city like two storms colliding—Aurora's raw power tearing through buildings, debris, and streets, while Cain darted around her with built-up agility, every slice of her punches barely missing him by inches.

Walls crumbled under her fist. Ground cracked with every stomp. Sidewalks twisted like ribbons. Between every seismic blast, I watched—but as Cain, not a witness, but a participant. He moved faster than sight, a ghost among the ruins.

Aurora swung a massive punch—like a falling tree trunk. Cain dove beneath it, rolling behind a shattered lamppost. Sparks fell as her fist slammed into its base. Before she could follow up... he was gone.

A heartbeat.

And then—POOF—there he was again, standing at her back, his arms already sliding up to catch her around the neck.

She didn't even flinch.

"Have you ever fought an Alpha who's mastered her abilities?" Aurora smirked, her voice low and confident. She tilted her head, challenging him. It was almost... polite. Like she teased a child.

Cain's hands tightened, pressure building in his grip. "Shut up," he ground out.

Aurora's smirk widened. "I'm not a child," she snapped, voice rising. "You can't trick me with cheap mind games. That's a move made for rookies."

And then her body lit up.

A red light pulsed beneath her skin, bright as molten lava. Something deep inside her activated—something beyond brute strength.

Cain's eyes went wide. He felt her fingers dig into him—deep. Pain like knife cuts, ripping through muscle. He choked, struggling to maintain that hold.

And then—Cain vanished.

Seconds later, he reappeared standing across from her, hands casually in pockets.

Aurora's eyes narrowed, body still glowing. She lifted one eyebrow and let out a quiet laugh. "Nice trick."

Cain nodded. "Aurora... is that all you got?"

Aurora dropped into a fighting stance. The red light faded slowly from her arms, leaving her tall, strong form glowing with tension.

She took almost a regal breath before she spoke. "That," she said, voice calm but huge with confidence, "is the difference between a child Alpha and an adult Alpha."

Cain swallowed.

She raised her hand, and energy pulsed in her palm—gentler than before, but sharper, more focused.

"This," Aurora said, stepping forward, the city trembling beneath her footfalls, "is Aura."

Buildings groaned underfoot. Destruction and hope stamped into broken concrete. Two warriors, locked in a dance of power and precision, ready to decide which path would emerge triumphant—raw strength, or honed control?

The next strike would carry truth.
