Oct Update (18k+ words)

Was near 20k, cut it down by 2k because stuff wasnt finished yet.

However, due to a change in circumstances for me (that being that my parents have at last recognized the apocalypse that is the current job market) I am no longer stressed out about having to find employment somewhere and no longer being made to feel like shit for not having a job

BECAUSE I CONVINCED 'EM THAT I SHOULD GIVE WRITING A FULL TIME CHANCE!

Seriously, that's how bleak shit is out here lmfao.

I'll finally be able to write without being stressed out or nagged about

"get any offers today?"

"youre not trying hard enough"

or my favorite...

"back in my day blah blah blah"

It wasnt until friends and family THEY knew that started looking for jobs that couldnt find any told 'em the cold hard truth.

But hey, win some lose some, right? Win some "told you so's" and lose some sleep, youth, hair, and clear skin.

So now, I can treat writing KaE as a full time 9 to 5 job without having to waste time and stress by booking interviews, filling out bitch ass mother fucking shit WORKDAY APPLICATIONS, and getting ghosted by companies to the point im getting flashbacks of toxic relationships.

Gonna straight up hang out at libraries from open to close and treat that as my work hours. It'll give me a semblance of peace, structure, and make me guilt free in enjoying hobbies during off hours.

Seriously you guys have no idea how bad the guilt can get when youre supposedly "free" but you cant write cause youve been trapped in a pit of despair and self-loathing because youre not working and being a contributing member of society.

Capitalism/wage slave brainwashing sure is effective!

But enough anguish over the state of the economy, YOURE HERE FOR THE GOOD SHIT

There's been a change of things since the last time I put a progress report.

The changes are for good reasons.

I've expanded background information that'll give hints to what's happening in the world around us as we focus on the barbarians.

• This means things like weapon smuggling to the barbarians (who is doing this?)

• House conflicts and schemes (how far are they going to get the one up over the other?)

• And putting down seeds that'll hint on future plot points in the far and near future (why did Uriel launch the expedition so quickly and how that'll affect his campaign in the north. Hint: He's on a time limit)

Seriously, inbetween losing my mind and being nagged, i got some pretty good ideas in regards to the subterfuge, geopolitics, and reasons for the War in the North. It just feels DEEP and complex. Hope you guys agree when it is all concluded!

There'll be shit you can do each day on the trip to Waveguard up north, you learn more about the campaign, the people of the Hundred Isles, some lore bits about the Goddess and the religion of our people, fight a duel... here lemme just show you

Each of those options are gonna be 3k to 4k words long.

Once we reach timeatsea = 5 however, theyll be the conclusion of the boat ride and the intro to the actual War in the North. I'ma give myself a cap of 5k words for this section, as I want it to be fast and brutal.

Starting tomorrow I'll be streaming everyday until the weekend of the work being done from now on. As always, it'll be done through Discord, and you wont have to speak!!! You'll be able to see how one writes on Choicescript and how an IF is developed!

With so many hours being dedicated to KaE, im honesty excited to see what comes out of it!
