The budget increase and action sure (although I like the wildfire explosion more than any single spectacle moment of this episode) but the human drama and character development I think is superior with Tyrion, Joffrey, Cersei, Sansa, The Hound, etc. And I think the final scene in Blackwater is more epic, Tywins final words. Great reaction nonetheless.
