Commission - Bellariel - Dunmer Vampire Follower

Here is my first commission. I'm working through all the requests, so if you sent me a message, I put it in a queue and started working on them in order. This follower was commissioned by Vamarain. I hope all of you enjoy her.

Bellariel's Tale

Bellariel is a Dunmer vampire, twin sister to Samandriel of the renowned Heartbow Rangers. Fate cruelly separated the sisters in their youth—while Samandriel found refuge with the Rangers, Bellariel wandered alone until a merchant family bound for Solitude offered her passage and, eventually, a home.

Her peaceful life was short-lived. In Solitude, she encountered Vixi Talax, a striking Altmer mercenary whose blade sang as beautifully as her voice. Recognizing potential in the young Dunmer, Vixi took Bellariel as both student and companion. Though magic eluded her grasp, Bellariel possessed an otherworldly grace—her movements cat-like, her speed unnatural. Under Vixi's tutelage, she became a formidable warrior.

Years passed in partnership until Bellariel, now grown, sought independence as a caravan guard. It was a decision that would seal her fate.

The Night of Two Clans

On the road to Whiterun, Bellariel's caravan fell prey to vampires garbed in crimson and black. She alone survived the initial slaughter, but as she fled, a second vampire clan—draped in purple and black—ambushed her attackers. Caught between warring bloodlines, Bellariel witnessed a brutal conflict that ended with the purple-clad vampires victorious.

Scholars at the College of Winterhold later identified the crimson faction as Volkihar vampires from Skyrim's northern reaches. The purple clan remained mysterious until ancient texts revealed references to another bloodline—one bearing a red wolf sigil and ruled by a vampire lord of terrible power, one who could drain the very soul from his victims.

The Lost Years

Bellariel vanished after that night, presumed dead alongside her caravan. But vampires, it seems, are not so easily erased from the world.

Years later, she emerged in Whiterun under cover of darkness, her nature revealed only when she aided the city guard against a rampaging werewolf. Recognition of her vampiric nature forced her to flee to the Hall of the Dead, where she disappeared among the tombs and shadows.

Your Story Begins

Somewhere in Whiterun's silent halls of death, Bellariel waits. Does she know her twin sister's fate? What secrets does she carry from that blood-soaked night between the clans?

The choice is yours—will you seek her out in the darkness?

Follower Information

Bellariel is a vampire with a unique bloodline. Her mysterious sire passed certain abilities down to Bellariel when she became a vampire.

Drain Soul

Bellariel has a drain ability much like Serana does, except her drain also drains the soul of her enemies (and will fill a soul gem if she has one in her inventory). Visually distinct from a normal vampire drain ability, her's appears purple and red and the soul of the enemy can be seen being drained into her. The drain also has a chance to restore mana to Bellariel, and that chance improves as she levels up. There are 4 ranks of this drain, so it scales with her as she gets stronger.

The Bloodshard

This unique sword was gifted to her by her mysterious sire. It is very sharp and has the ability to drain mana.

Necromancy

Bellariel is an accomplished necromancer. She can raise the dead slightly better than Serana. That said, for players that enjoy a stealthy non-zombie approach, you can shut off her necromancy spells and turn them on at any time in her settings menu.

Perks

She has conjuration, destruction, one-handed, light armor, and stealth perks. She also has some perks that increase the capabilities of her Drain Soul powers.

Hairstyles

As seen in the screenshots, she has several hairstyles to choose from. You can find them in the settings menu and change them any time you feel like it. Her default hairstyle is non-SMP. All the others require SMP.

Location

As the story above states, she can be found in the Hall of the Dead in Whiterun.

Voice

She uses the vanilla "Female Sultry" voice.

Marriage

Because she uses a standard vanilla voice, she can be married in the normal mara ceremony as long as you have the amulet.
