Devblog (June and July)

Hello everybody!

As you may have noticed, we haven't had any new posts in over a month, although we ended the last devblog with high expectations for June. Let me explain why this happened.

When we said that we had finished porting scripts, it seemed to us that since the most voluminous part of the work was already over, the remaining tasks would take less time. Unfortunately, this turned out not to be the case.

The parts of the old inventory system code that we planned to reuse turned out to be unusable, and we had to spend more time writing new code, as well as debugging it.

For our small team, working in our free time (when the war in our country is still in the active phase and we hear the sound of air raid alerts every day), this turned out to be a really resource-intensive task. On top of that, I was busy with a military exercise at the end of June, so I couldn't even write the June devblog in time. I made a short announcement on our Discord channel, but I still feel like it wasn't enough. Sorry if you are left confused.

Whatever it was, now this work is finished, and now I can say with confidence: there is no old code left in the game that could let us down. Technically, we made a new game (again)!

Okay, now let's take another look at our plans, taking into account the above information. Update 0.3.0 will go through several iterations of public testing - in order not to delay the release, and also to perform the largest possible public testing, we decided to test version 0.3.0 in at least two stages.

0.3.0 Alpha will be released first - it will be a version with fully working gameplay and all story content previously available in version 0.2.3

Next, 0.3.0 Beta will be released - it will add previously announced new features (updated character relationship screen, quest log, scene gallery and Patreon integration). All these features are quite closely related and we still need to work on them for everything to function as it should (especially Patreon integration).

The alpha will be released very soon (our programmer promises to finish it on August 1, but since these days I will be busy with family business, expect the release a few days later). 

At the same time, compensation will be launched for all players who encounter problems with $15 Tier (basically almost all Patrons who joined the 15$ Tier from January to the present day). Once again I apologize for the delay, but you must understand that we would have to manually process and contact dozens of users, this would take a lot of time that we had to spend directly on development.

But back to updates. After we've finished testing the 0.3.0 update, we plan to release the 0.3.1 content update as soon as possible. It will include content previously planned for Update 0.2.4, which you knew was lost due to the war.

Next, we will release updates 0.3.2 and 0.3.3, which will bring previously teased content with nuns and Balta the Avenger. The assets for these updates are almost ready, so we hope to finally be able to return to the monthly release schedule.

Looking ahead, the next major step in the development of the game will be update 0.4.0, which will bring new game mechanics with minigames and expand the approach to presenting lewd scenes. We will tell you more about it when the time comes!
