NATIONAL NOVEL WRITING MONTH! I did it!! I finished National Novel Writing Month! I got to about 40,000 words in my word doc and had then 60+ pages of handwritten story.

The process of churning out a novel, with realized characters and a coherent world? Was very hard. It was toilsome drudgery at most points. But it was also humbling and ultimately good in reinforcing how sacred the art making process is.

My novel, which is like...sci-fi and fantasy with fairly big heaps of humor, is not in a presentable state at the moment. I hope to continue working on it during 2021....!

My Next Graphic Novel. I realize I sound like a broke record, but I'm!!! penciling!!! MY GRAPHIC NOVEL!! I'll be penciling this story for the next 6 or 7 months. It feels good to finally see the characters interacting with each other and to see the script come alive.

Okay, I absolutely love this panel because we're only a dozen or so pages in and Chi-Chi is already sobbing uncontrollably right in front of her crush. WHAT A NIGHTMARE. And the story only gets more unhinged. SOMEHOW.

Next Year? Who knows what next year will bring, truly? But I'm still preparing for the Year Four Kickstarter while also engaging in some very.....fun....conversations about Check, Please! Stay tuned.
