Luffy having isolation (and for random reasons also being immune to the kinetic energy from blasts) is one thing. But Enel is still a Logia. How does Luffy even connect with him? You can't "touch lightning/electricity" let alone punch it even if you're isolated - you would still just go straight through him like he was smoke or fire or any other non-tangible thing. And there's also the matter of Enel being able to move at the speed of lightning so dodging stuff like the octopus hanabi should be the easist thing in the world. By moving at lightning speed, Enel is so fast he could run circles around the entire world before Luffy's fist would reach him, when he throws a punch lol

So I'll just ask you this. If you truly do understand the "purpose", give me a name of an animal and a color (And it ain't a bird, penguin or blue). A bit of a riddle, but if you truly know this arc and it's "purpose", you'll know what I'm asking you. But on the whole, I disagree with you. Like it or not, this arc is important. And it would defeat the whole reason for the reaction of the One Piece story itself, if we start giving lists of information in order to let them skip parts of the story to get to "hype moments".
