So... Should I start chapter 3 with the scene of MC walking in on M and the sous chef? I can make it a choice flashback that way readers who don't want it can skip it.
Also, HC would have to approve. 😊

"This isn't what it looks like!"
Milo's voice cracks as he scrambles to wrap the towel more securely around his waist.
You laugh—a sharp, bitter sound. "Oh? Because it looks like you're screwing my sous chef in our bed, Milo!"
You storm out of the room, Milo right behind you, struggling to keep the towel around his waist. In the kitchen, the counter tells the whole story: cheese, grapes, and wine laid out like a cozy little prelude. For a second, you almost think it's something he did for you—until you notice the half-empty wine bottle and the cracker crumbs. Of course, Milo wasn't alone.
"Will you just listen to me?" he begs.
You grunt, grabbing a handful of cheese.
"No! Not the cheese!"
Milo ducks as you hurl a wedge of imported Brie at him before grabbing the wine bottle.
"Put the wine down now, MC!" he says, straightening back up. "That's Maison Calvet! Do you have any idea how much that costs?"
"Oh, I'm sorry," you spit, glancing at the bottle in your hand. "In addition to screwing my sous chef, you're going to send me the bill too?"
