my mc would laugh at her for that, an unreasonable claim for DCF involvement considering that random woman was a trusted friend at the time and is now my mc's partner. Like she probably has other claims of endangerment and such, this one just made me chuckle. A fun path indeed

2024-12-18 21:22:51 +0000 UTCI first thought to take the adopted kid route so I could relate to it but then I realized *how* it would be relatable and changed my mind so yeah totally this will be a route for someone who is not me and that is totally okay I hope those people are having fun :) In the end and I found it nice to see how things could go in a world without client terrible parent and their delusional abandonment chicanery journey

I won't go into legal detail unless you really want to know but, as it stands there is a list of reasons there is no case, and with 'evidence' like that the lawyer for client terrible parent who would even bring this to a docket is either super green or a barely legitimate con artist with a degree accepting it for the hourly legal fees. Asking for money to go away in a legal setting alone OMG, throw the entire person out: Those meetings are documented, MC's lawyer could easily just shrug it off and present it to the judge who would know they were just trying to get money out of this not to mention the consequences that follow if MC wanted to break them in court after, holy crap. That is just a terrible idea client terrible parent, go home. TLDR: Yeah bring them to court, laugh at them when they lose.
