Weekly Devlog: 30 January - 5 February 2023
Added 2023-02-05 10:57:43 +0000 UTCIt's nearly the end of the first week of February and it feels like time is slipping by! In other news, my birthday is also coming up on Friday (the 10th), so I've decided that once Chapter 6 is completed, I'll take a two-week break from the main game to write the desperately needed extra game - Crowning Glory. It'll feature the MC and Crown tackling challenges and overcoming threats. Of course, there will also be lots of petting involved and horsing aroundπ It's more of a thank you game which I'll make available to Patrons first and then the rest of the public.
Regarding chapter 6, I thought the angst would have calmed down a bit, but I've been really getting into the responses with Salyra. So far, I'm currently tackling Salyra discovering the MC's locket and then asking after her family in Vinia. It's hard not to enjoy writing the angst because it really hits me in the gut as I write the scenes.
Salyra's scenes should take a day or so to complete and then I'll start with the journey to the city of Sangasu. That's when you'll get to choose who you'll be travelling with - ie, your desired RO or friend or even Salyra π
I'm thinking of including Elora's lock-in point in Chapter 6 because it feels like it's time for things to start getting serious between Elora and the MC, if romanced. I should be done with the journey/travelling by the end of the week and then I'll move on to the last section of the game which is meeting Princess Lamahu and dealing with the alliance.
For now, it seems like the chapter will be around 30K words - though who knows, it might be more than that by the end π
