Chapter 9 Mini Update Complete
Added 2024-02-22 09:30:31 +0000 UTCSome good news, I've decided that the best place to pause the mini-update will be after the first main reunion scene. There's still a lot of scenes that need to be written, but I've paused the update just before learning about some big news from Redall. This is all happening as soon as the MC arrives in Ishari, so as you can imagine, it's a lot of high-stress situations. Once the second half of the update begins, it should be mostly calmer scenes (until the Vinia family scenes come back).
While I said that I wanted to do two updates, the first and second half of chapter 9 (and by all accounts, the first half is technically complete), I'm realising that there's a lot of emotional tension that hasn't been resolved which would best suited for a middle of the chapter scene. This will include RO scenes, Vinia family scenes and going more into detail about whether or not you told the Vinia family about Salyra in the letter.
That way, the last mini-update will then focus on the political side of things. It's probably going to end up taking me a bit longer to complete so please do bear with me as I add in some extra drama π
The first mini-update is approximately 27K words but you're not going to get all of that in one playthrough, so it'll be around 10-15K words depending on how you play it. I'm still in the process of adding testers to the discord channel so hopefully testing can commence this weekend and an update will be ready for you by next week.
