Weekly Devlog: 18 - 24 March 2024

This past week, I worked on Zikar's night dialogue scene and then on the funeral rites/ceremony scene. Both were completed and I moved to the early dialogues with the Vinia family members. There's three separate scenes to write and there's still a scene to include for Rana, so I estimate to be done with the mini update by next week.
For those who choose not to join the Vinia family for the ceremony, there will be an extended scene with Rana. I'd like to show that Rana is also an 'outsider' mostly because of her parentage. While it's different from the MC's upbringing, I think it'll add some context to Rana's background and give players the opportunity to further their relationship (or not) with Rana.
That alternative scene plus the ceremony scene will converge in the end so there's a bit of coding to do and still scenes to write, so I'll probably stop the 'mini update' once they're complete.
Once that's done, the update will be sent to my beta testers and I'll use the time to work on March's side stories before returning to the last bit of the update for Chapter 9.
