None of the choices will affect your relationship with Rana, so you're not going to be 'penalised' with a deduction in your relationship if you choose to do nothing but watch. I figured that most players would have a lot of complicated feelings about Rana and it'd be unfair to expect them to want to help her especially since Rana is still a 'stranger' to them.
