In the original brainstorming sessions, I had planned the MC to be Erlan's child but when I started writing the story version, it worked better writing the MC as a nobody from a fishing village who meets Irus. Virion hadn't been a factor in the original story idea but writing him and young MC together definitely would have made a fun game 😅 I'm probably going to write another AU about Virion and the MC. The shame is that we only meet him as an enemy in the main game so we don't see this side in him.

If Irus was the antagonist and MC is the heir of the new King lol would love to hear more of this version of him.Main-story Virion can still catch an arrow between the ribs tho.

2025-01-03 21:11:58 +0000 UTCVirion would have been friendly in the main game if he had just been made king instead of Erlan 😅 He definitely cares for the MC in the AU version but he'd get them involved in the political scheming to take down Erlan. It wouldn't overt assassinations but more so secret scheming from behind the scenes. I had a LOT of fun writing this AU so you never know, I might write more of them 👀

2025-01-02 16:42:33 +0000 UTCreally liked this short stoy. while Au-Virion seems friendlier, i still think its part of some manipulation to ensure MC´s loyalty towards Virion. on the other hand i believe, that Virion sees MC as his child and would treat them as such. one question: would AU-Virion involve MC in potential schemes (e.g. train Mc as a assasine and send them out to let annoying nobles disappear) OR would he keep MC out of all the political intrigue? anyways, thank you again for writing this story. also, now that i had read this, i want more of this AU!

There's a lot about his character that gets overlooked because he's the main antagonist 😅 He didn't get the same favouritism as Erlan growing up so he sees himself in the MC which makes him able to connect with and feel protective of the MC. Plus it annoys Erlan so it's a win-win.
