Safe & Sound - Diaper Dimension Fan Fiction

A story for Daymare

---

Everybody around the table was talking about their weekends, but Syd wasn’t listening today. Her eyes had drifted beyond their group, to where an Amazon Giantess had entered the cafe.

They weren’t meant to come in here. Not officially or anything, but it was just that this place was a bit economically priced, and Amazons were generally more successful.

Most importantly though, was that the woman had a ‘child’ with her, carried against her bosom. Only, they were no more a child than Syd was, and were simply a regular-sized person. Well, bigger people would call them ‘Littles’, but around here that was just the default. Yet the figure in the giant woman’s arms was dressed as if she was maybe a toddler at most, with, most importantly, a thick disposable diaper peeking out beneath her short unflattering play dress.

Syd knew she shouldn’t stare. But they didn’t get this kind of sight much down here in this end of town. It was amazing that she’d even found a place in the world where that much was true, after a few close calls in other cities she’d briefly lived in. She’d even spent a full day wearing a diaper herself once, but thankfully hadn’t used it, after a ‘mixup’ with a giantess at a clinic. Syd was fairly sure that there was nothing accidental about it, but then Amazons didn’t seem to really consider it wrong either way, and only said what they did to humor the ‘childish’ Littles who could and would be put in their place, and quite often were right across the world.

Syd’s eyes tracked as the woman requested a highchair - and of course the cafe had one, even if they were rarely used - and the diapered ‘girl’ was placed down inside, before being strapped in by her apparent ‘mother’. The bobbing pacifier in her mouth became visible from that angle, and from her expression, she seemed somewhat used to all this.

A finger poked Syd.

“Owe!” she cried, and turned to glare at her friends. They were looking thoroughly unimpressed with her.

Oh right, she shouldn’t stare.

“There’s that law around here Syd, remember? It’s not like those other places.”

Syd frowned. She didn’t trust in any law about limited adoptions. If Amazons wanted something they took it, and didn’t let anybody stand in their way. But everybody else at the table were locals, and didn’t know what it was like. Those who travelled and found out the hard way tended to stay with their new ‘family’.

“Hrm,” Syd said, casting a quick glance at the giantess, who was mashing up a banana in a plastic bowl.

Her friends made faces at her, and went back to their discussion.

For her part, Syd was finding that she could still smell the baby powder and feel the thick crinkling padding between her legs, with her sex off-limits to her, even if it had been some time since that fateful day. It had sent her packing to find this place, but it seemed that most people who were considered adoptable by giants weren’t so lucky. Even this city had functioning daycares uptown, and a mayor who publicly displayed his ‘adopted’ ‘daughter’, but apparently those all came in from out of town or were from the time before the law change.

“If that Amazon isn’t from around here and doesn’t know the law, we could all be diapered by this afternoon.”

“Oh Syd,” Sally chuckled, “Here you go again. Diapers diapers diapers. One would almost think you want to wear them.”

They laughed, though at the end of the table the diminutive Cally bit her lip with a blush, and Syd suspected that if any of them wanted to wear diapers, the group was looking the wrong way.

Still, maybe they were partially right. Maybe she had to stop expecting the worst so much. After all, it was just one Amazon, and it was bound to happen that one would walk in eventually. Their cafe was still great overall. And she had so much on right now, it was time to put diapers out of her mind.

---

Syd balanced the tray of drinks as she made for the table. The rain was pelting down outside, and everybody wanted something with a bit of hot cocoa today.

The table was littered with tax forms, assignments, and work material, and as always it was a bit hard to navigate the tray onto it, especially at her height.

Nine drinks. Everybody’s favorites. She beamed.

Then she noticed that there was one drink left when everybody had fetched their own.

“Um, where’s Cally?”

A few of the group looked up from their drinks and papers, and shrugged.

“Didn’t hear from her today.”

“Probably just late.”

“She better not have new friends.”

“Oh please. It’s Cally. She’s too nervous to even speak around us, at least without getting some alcohol into her.”

“What if she’s found a hot guy, and has eloped. You never know with those quiet ones.”

“Or, gasp, a woman. I bet she’d love to call her Mommy.”

They all laughed, then went back to work.

“Hey Yasmin,” Syd said, suddenly remembering something long overdue, “Can you teach me how to cook those-”

She paused. An Amazon had entered their cafe. It wasn’t the same one as the last time though. This giant woman was very pregnant, and shuffled over to one of the larger tables.

She sat down with a huff, and patted her belly, then turned to look at the group with a large smile.

They all looked away. Even the others had the sense to be concerned about an Amazon who was maternally developed. The amount of milk those giant women could produce was almost beyond reason, and they were always looking for other little mouths to ‘feed’.

And, well, none of them wanted to be reminded of how inconsequential their own chests were, mostly illusions created by padded bras.

“I better get going to do this assignment somewhere I can think,” Sally mumbled, and slipped down from the table.

Syd watched her go, and reluctantly noted that their group was now down by two. Though she had to wonder after Sally’s retreating green top and tight jeans, who was the coward worried about Amazons now?

---

The storm broke, and Syd found herself avoiding the cafe for a week. It didn’t really matter, hardly any of their group was making it there these days. And, annoyingly, the Amazons hadn’t stopped visiting. Many of them were heavily pregnant, and must have been sharing it on a Mommy’s Group or something.

And they weren’t wrong, it was a great destination, but it was meant to be for her group. Well, technically they could all be there, the place was more than big enough.

In a moment of fluster, Syd decided that she wouldn’t let them nor the weather stop her. She swiped her purse from the stand, and marched out to wait for the bus, being careful to avoid the rain. She still instinctively knew not to give Amazons any reason to think she might have wet pants as a habit, but really, that law was proving effective. It had been nine months now of the Amazons visiting her cafe, and not once had Syd had her underwear checked.

Plus, she needed to convince some of her friends to help her deliver her new flyers. Now that she understood how effective politics could really be, she was running for an office, and would try to expand this law. It was a long shot, but her confidence was growing.

At the cafe, however, she was disappointed to find that none of her group was there. And why should they be? Syd hadn’t told anybody she was going, and had been avoiding the place herself for a week. And the weather was awful.

Still, she wasn’t very late past their usual start, and so she took her place at the table.

Looking around, she curled her nose as she was reminded of how much things had changed. The cafe had acquired more highchairs and there were now always a few left out on the other side. The large window overlooking the street was there, and she supposed the Amazons had the better view, but her crew had always liked their cosy inner side of the cafe, even when they were the only ones there.

The door chimed, and Syd looked up to check if it was any of her group. But it was only an Amazon woman, pushing a stroller which slightly creaked with each turn of its wheels.

Syd blushed, and looked away. She was fairly sure the occupant was a Little, but she never looked for long at them in that situation. There was nothing she could do, and she doubted they could handle adult life now anyway if they’d spent some time in diapers and cribs and watching cartoons.

The door chimed again, yet it was another Amazon woman, carrying a ‘girl' of her own.

Strange. If Syd thought about it, she was fairly sure those Amazons were pregnant the last time she’d seen them, yet now they had Littles in diapers rather than Amazon children. Still, she couldn’t quite remember if these two were some she’d seen maybe a few months ago, and who knew, maybe their ‘real’ child was in daycare getting lessons, while the punished second ‘child’ was brought in here with them, too hopeless to go to even the lessons aimed at that age group.

The two giant women chatted, and it almost reminded Syd of her own group. They weren’t so different in some ways. Then they placed their ‘daughters’ in their highchairs, with firm commands to be good, and a warning to one that her diaper better be clean since she’d just had a change.

Syd’s breath caught in her throat. What a strange life. She wondered if any of her friends would appreciate her concerns more now, if they began to see stuff like that. Could they fathom that it meant bedtimes at sundown once an Amazon had decided that they were immature? Could they imagine all the manners and tights and diapers and plastic pony rides?

Strange, for a moment one of those girls had almost looked familiar, sitting looking like she wanted to disappear in her highchair. But Syd didn’t know anybody with blonde ringlets like that, nor who sucked on a giant pacifier, nor who wore diapers. Nor did any Littles she know have such flat chests, aside from Syd herself who hid it with heavily padded bras. Was it possible it was somebody she’d known years ago before she’d moved to this place? After all, these Amazons with their adoptions were apparently coming in from somewhere outside of the city.

Even back in highschool, one of her Little friends had ended up in diapers by her own mid-sized mother right before they’d graduated, and was back in the preschool before Syd had left. But she had mostly shrugged that off as weird family dynamics at the time, and been a bit selfishly obsessed as a snotty teenager, she supposed. Her friend probably would have done the same, she was always a grumpy, cold goth. Well, she was wearing sesame street dresses the last that Syd had briefly seen, come to think of it.

But no, it wasn’t her, and her mother wasn’t an Amazon anyway. There were other possibilities, since a lot of Syd’s Little friends back then had ended up in diapers, come to think of it, but she’d always been too busy to really think about it. Of course, that was why she had to run for office now, to try to make up for that, but she needed her friends from this sheltered place to hurry up and arrive so that they could help her.

Instead more Amazonian Giantesses were arriving, each with a girl of their own. They arranged the girls in a circle of highchairs, almost like an ironic impersonation of Syd’s group, she thought with a pout. Well, luckily the others weren’t here to see this.

Two more giantesses arrived who were pregnant, which, come to think of it, Syd was now sure some of the others had been over the past few months. What was going on?

Flustered, and not wanting to be the only mature Little in a room of diapered hopeless brats, Syd packed her things and marched out from the cafe. It had been her favorite place, and she’d like it to be again, but at this point things were just getting too awkward.

And, frankly, she couldn’t help but keep glancing at those diapers, remembering still how one had felt against her own privates so long ago. Annoyingly, she almost wanted to try one on, just to rule out whether it was as excitingly ticklish in just the right places as she was starting to remember it as. Probably not, none of that strange group wearing them had looked particularly happy in their diapers.

Well, there was that one girl who was one of the earliest that Syd remembered seeing with her mother when most of the others were still pregnant. In a way she reminded Syd of…

Syd paused. No. That wasn’t Cally. That quiet girl had barely been at their meetups for… how long had it been? Come to think of it had she even turned up to any in the last nine months? Maybe more? Syd had been so distracted by her political ideas.

But no, it wasn’t Cally. That girl just somehow reminded Syd of her as she’d bounced her toys along on her highchair tray in an apparent state of quiet bliss.

But then, how long had it really been since she’d seen Cally? How long ago had that diapered girl started appearing in the cafe? No, there was a law here. Syd was pretty confident about it these days. After all-

A clash of thunder caused her to scream, and she fell right over into a puddle.

“Oh you poor thing!”

Before she had even moved, a giantess was there and helping her up.

Syd knew how this looked.

“It… It was the puddle. I didn’t… Didn’t wet my…”

“Oh I know, dear.”

“You… do?”

“Yes I saw. And who knows what is in that puddle water. I better get you to the hospital for a checkup.”

Syd gulped, but nodded slowly. The woman had a strong grip on her arm, and in truth she was feeling tingly all over since touching that water, but perhaps it was just her nerves.

She was in a daze as she was helped into the woman’s car - onto only a booster seat, thankfully, if one could be thankful for such a thing - and off they went.

A terrible shiver overtook her, perhaps from the cold, or perhaps from being this close to a giantess after all these years of avoiding them. But there was that law… Only birth parents could regress anybody in this town, which was unfortunate for Littles with larger-sized parents - and there were still quite a few of them - but great for the rest.

She frowned as the woman marched them through the hospital, into somewhere called the maternity ward. She could only glimpse over the windows into the newborns room, but saw dozens of silver beds. While she wasn’t sure if they were all occupied, she did see a half dozen nurses fussing in there, which seemed to imply that they were.

Why were they here?

“Name? “ a nurse asked.

“Sydney.”

Wait, how did the giantess know her name? She never mentioned it. And her full name at that?

“She had a bit of a fall…”

“Aw. Did you Sydney? Did you have a bit of a fall?”

“I… um… yes…”

“Oh dear. We better get you wrapped up somewhere safe and connected to fluids. It’s a medical call. Ma’am would you be willing to look after her?”

“Of course.”

Sydney opened her mouth to object, but was intercepted by a sleeping-gas mask placed over her face. It was a bit big for her, and the gas was leaking, giving her a moment to glance around. She saw a strange diagram of a pregnant woman, with the silhouette of a much smaller figure in her womb. Yet there was something slightly off about the proportions, not quite like a newborn, and more like a Little…

Hehe. That was a funny word, Liddle.

Sydney passed out.

She had the strangest dreams too.

Goodness. That storm water must have really done a number on her. Sometimes she felt like she was surrounded by water. Other times she had this terrible worry that she was somehow inside a giantess’s womb, being carried around with her everywhere.

She heard mention of a baby shower. Heard cheers. Heard a doctor saying that if they look at the screen, they could see her kicking. Sydney tried kicking herself, and heard laughter.

Sometimes she heard just the woman’s voice, speaking to her, or singing, telling her that she was safe. Yet the woman also scolded her about her fall, and said that she needed somebody to supervise her.

And then, there was a light.

It was all very confusing, but Sydney found herself coming to in a crib, trying to make sense of all the strange sensations. Air on her skin. Light in front of her eyes, A thick diaper between her legs…

By the time Sydney realized what was happening, it was too late. Mommy was having none of her objections at home, and would simply put her in the crib if she was acting fussy. And in truth she was too tired still to put up much of an argument.

Nor did she seem to have kept all her self-control, finding herself messing her diaper late at night in the crib, at the worst possible time, with hours until Mommy would give her a change. Of course, Mommy sometimes came in quite late to breastfeed her, telling her that she needed it to get healthy and strong after her terrible fall.

Mommy spanked her if she tried to resist.

Mommy chuckled when Sydney mentioned that it must have been close to midnight, wondering how she’d stayed up, only to find out that it was only eight pm when Mommy was coming and visiting her. She was nicknamed to Silly, and Sil for short.

She tried to stay up later, but there wasn’t a whole lot else to do but sleep in her crib. That and paw at her diapers in her safety mittens, admitting that if she rubbed them in just the right way, they felt good. Just like she’d kind of suspected. Of course, that was nearly impossible now, since Mommy had heard on the baby monitor, and had turned up the volume to listen closely. The frustration and slow attempts to get relief kept her up longer now, but still, she doubted that she was making it later than nine.

And then Mommy announced a surprise. They would be going to Mommy’s favorite cafe. A quaint little place, sort of retro, Mommy had said. Somewhere that she and her friends gathered with all their silly daughters.

Sil had been confused, and a little nervous, during the whole stroller ride over, until she’d finally seen the familiar building. It looked to have been slightly remodelled since she’d been there. Inside, she expected to see a white table near the inner wall, but instead there was a playpen area there, with a large changing table.

By the window, a group of large Mommies chatted and laughed. But Sil saw who she was to play with - a bunch of other girls like herself, sitting in their highchairs, each wearing diapers like she was.

“These girls are going to be your friends, Sil,” Mommy had whispered in her ear, “But I think you’ll get along with them well. Something tells me you’re all very compatible.”

“Y-Yes Mommy…” Sil said, too embarrassed to mention that her diaper hadn’t stayed clean during the trip over.

However, given the faint smells which made her nose twitch, something told her that she wasn’t the only one in that situation.

Some of them had been like this for months, and yet here they all still were after all that time, which told Sil what her chances of escaping were.

Maybe they had to rely on whoever wasn’t there yet, whoever might still be able to get them out of this. Syl looked around the collection of highchairs, counting faces - though some were hard to recognize with dyed and curled hair, big pacifiers, and in one case face paint from an apparent circus trip - until it dawned on her that the last one had just arrived, the one who was always the most concerned about giants and surely wouldn’t get caught, and she was currently sitting in a messy diaper, nicknamed Silly, and was as safe & sound from the risks of being an adult as the rest of them.

I like this concept of birthing the littles... Would love to have seen more about her being reintroduced to her friends. I have to imagine they figure out who is who...
