Cyberslayers : Part II

Today I present the second part of the presentation of the next demo: Cyberslayers.

I Quest system

Leridia players won't be lost, there is a quest system to follow the main story and side activities. What can I say, except that the system used is more flexible than on Leridia with possibilities for more descriptions.


II Combat system

If the approach is that of a Visual Novel, the mix of genres is a real challenge.

After weeks of reflection, I decided to integrate a combat system by activating icons to trigger events with complex variables.

This is a classic battle screen. Kassiah's life is represented in the upper left corner by flames. The enemy's life is top right with blue flames.

At the bottom left are the different command pentagrams available to Kassiah depending on the situation. 

Bottom right, unlockable skills in game from the "Phantasm" software to scan the enemy and see his naughty intentions.

Crystal States 

Crystals will appear on the left depending on the state of Sylia: Hotness, Over-confident and Dominated.

For example here is the same screen with the "Hotness" state. Notice that she is sweating. It is because she has already exchanged blows or avoided those of the enemy. This state opens other possibilities.

For the Overconfident state, you can trigger it by activating the green pentagram to taunt the enemy. You must have unlocked the taunt skill first in Phantasm.

She triggered the overconfident state ! A green crystal appears in a cool way and opens to new possibilites and bonus.

The different pentagrams can be activated with certain conditions and having unlocked the skills. The skill for the "Surrender" pentagram will allow you to give up fighting under certain conditions.

Enemy state :

The enemy knows two states. The first is that of being afraid: called Fearful.

It has to do with the fact that mutants are prey for the slayers in history, they are hunted. This state makes it easier to fight.

The orb is blue and the attack command is green.

But Kassiah's arrogance inevitably irritates the enemy who is provoked, he then enters a hostile and truly hostile state, which complicates the fight.

Orb is red as well as the attack icon.

Kassiah's likely to miss and suffer a counterattack.

To sum up, the combat system based on several variables, it is possible to win without difficulty but the reward will be low just as it is possible to provoke the enemy and have a better reward or fail.

The system is based on a percentage to succeed in hitting or not, complicated by skills.

Important note : There will be cloth damage and stages based on states with a different battle screen

In Cyberslayers Part III, I'll explain more about the Corruption Part based on hacking her Phantasm Software and why she uses attractive outfit even she's not a full sl*t in the demo.

This has yet to be deciced but yes...Kassiah is not the "main" protagonist in my whole project. There are several female slayers and the demo is one point of view of the whole thing.

Great preview again. At first I thought that the "sweat effect" is caused by a change in pose and lighting but then I read on and you wrote it's actual a feature in the game. Flashed, totally and utterly flashed! There are so many kinky games maker on Patreon and in most of them the girls NEVER sweat, even during sex, and you go and add sweat effect even to normal fighting. Talk about dedication. I take my hat off to you, Maelion. Truly curious to play the demo once it's out. A little question: In a earlier reply you wrote that Kassiah is not meant to be the heroine of the main project. So she is a supporting character/companion of the, yet, mysterious main character?
