It kept out and persecuted those who were different, who thought or believed different things. At least in the US, we've had no lasting 'tyranny' after the public health crisis passed; except perhaps those who prey on peoples fear of future 'tyranny'. If you want to see true tyranny, look at North Korea.

Evy received the messages from V, not Valerie, as she died years ago. He kept her messages, and gave them to Evy in the same way he received them in his cell beside Valerie. It is explained in the movie but you guys might have missed it! Definitely a movie worth watching another time.

EV when she went out into the pouring rain how it was filmed reminded of when in the movie Shawshank Redemption, when Andy comes out of the sewer and lifts his arms up and the rain pours on him. Anyone else sense that too in that scene ? I love Natalie Portman can't believe she actually got her head shaved in the movie. Thank You Asia & BJ my friends for all that you do. I doubt he was gay or a Muslim, but perhaps he may have been a political idealist who spoke out against Sutler's Norsefire Party. The film doesn't exactly say. Either way, whatever tests they did on everyone, his blood was different. The tests erased his memories, but gave him advanced strength, dexterity, and reflexes. However his blood was also the key that allowed them to create the pathogen and the cure for it, which is why he feels partly responsible for the whole thing and went to face his death in the tunnel. V captured and locked Evey up before Creedy and his men could at Ditreich's house. ( in fact, if you pause it, you can see that the guy that slips a bag over her head is badly burned under his ski mask) V then faked the detention center thing to show her that there are things more valuable than her life. The note was from Valerie, who was in the cell next to his at Larkhill. He received the letter just like Evey did, through a hole in the wall. DM me any other questions you might have because I know this movie back and forth. ๐ This movie is still very relevant especially with all the left wing controlled news sources and people trying to control speech. This kind of tyrannical government can pop up if people become slaves to fear and trade their rights away for a sense of security.

It might take a second time watching this to fully understand and appreciate the movie. Makes you think after 2020.

Virus outbreaks, political divisions, and the part about how the last election results weren't well taken by the public... I mean that sounds oddly familiar ๐ค ๐ LOL but omg so glad you guys enjoyed this!! That ending was THE BOMB!! Literally ๐Natalie Portman is such a great actress!! I hope you guys someday get to watch some of her other films as well.. but mostly Black Swan where she won an Oscar for best actress.. and rightfully so!! I had an awesome time watching this!!
