And so here we go, finally! Here's the art-style I was thinking of switching to with volition; stronger lines with more basic shading...maybe with a limited palette as well, but I'm no InCase so I probably would struggle to pull *that* off...anyway, here's the story that comes with the pic:

Maybe you old-time TW fans can recognize it, but hey man its been yars and I've edited it to be hopefully a little better. I think it probably also highlights a bit of a difference with the more recent Katara story in how different people respond to the system; Katara ended up acclimatizing a lot faster or more deeply in some ways because she wanted to rationalize things and find a structure through earnest exploration, whereas Toph has a rebellious streak in her bones. I don't doubt there are provisions for this, but....hmm. I wonder if there's a story or an angle to work with there, on purposefully *not* following the path of least resistance.

...So. In other news I still plan on doing a short thing over on fiction.live on the 10th, though whether it'll turn into anything more I'm not sure yet.
