Mentlegen! It is time we talked about thralls.

Much has happened, and much will! And much has been added to my ideas. Let's take it from the top.

The Demo

As you know, part 1 is out for $10 peeps! As you may not, I plan on doing smaller updates to that build until it's complete. It seems to have gone down well and ticks the boxes I was hoping it would, so that's good; most of the tweaks required are ones of timing.

As likely none of you know, in planning out how to get from part 1 to part 2, I realized there was an opportunity to explore aspects that will be very important to the finished game that so far hadn't been addressed, nor would. Hence the title image: introducing Cerise, the Secretary thrall assigned to you (and the author of those lore documents I've previously posted and will continue to post as time allows).

Part 2 is the new Part 2

See, OC content is still a thing, as are relationship dialogues outside of the typical thrall training. So what was a simple transitional piece is now planned to be its own part! As for how far along it is:

Pretty far. Much of the writing's done at least.

There's quite a few CG's for this piece too, I'm going to see how long it takes for them to do so I can estimate better in the future how long updates are going to take. For this, I'm currently going to say...writing in 3/4 days at this current pace, art maybe another 2/3 weeks depending on additions/take-aways in the CG's and background art. Coding...???? weeks but the coding for this should not nearly be as complicated as the coding done in Part 1 (for reasons those who have played Part 1 can appreciate).

Tiers, sketches, and ze arts.

The sketchwork page I did was very fun, and I figure a weekly doodle to do stuff like that seems like a good idea just to have something out there. I'm also thinking of additional rewards for those of you at $5 and $10 levels, like access keys to the zion mainfr-I mean, access to specific variant thrallsuits or designs for some characters through some passcode system I could work into the game.

I mean, I'm aware that'll get pirated and modded out to all hell so it'll end up redundant within a day, so I dunno guys you tell me if you want that or can think of some more exclusive thing.

Overall Timeline, Lyfe and General Thoughts

Well, considering everything in the world, things are actually progressing at a decent pace on my end. I'm honestly surprised I've kept at it, and that's in no small part due to all of y'all's support. So thanks!

There are still some things that bug me in developing this, though. My computer simply isn't powerful enough to do some of the stuff I want to do, and I remain at a loss over whether to do some things with voicework. I guess time will tell on all that eh?

In other news the slow bleed that is my financial situation is making me consider a job switch to something more sustainable and interesting soon- though that almost certainly means less time spent on this, which isn't ideal as (this being a one man show) it's taking long enough. Again, hold your head up,  moving on. Honestly it may be more a case of changing the rent situation and trying to move out to somewhere cheaper, a circumstance which comes with its own problems.
