Thrallworks Update #6: YEAARRRGHH

Ah, telepathy in cartoons. Funny stuff.

Anyway, as you can imagine, not *too* much new to talk about. I mean it got released!

Though since release I've patched a few bugs and I've a few more to go...even some bugs I thought I'd squashed.

Still, I can talk a bit about what to expect going ahead.

CG's

First, there's still a few still images I'd like to do for the orientation. Not too many more, but enough for me to want to get them done. As to which ones to do? That's up to you!

Comment below over a scene you'd want to see with a CG, and come next update I'll make a poll for it, taking some suggestions from down there and (if not there) adding some of my choices into the list. I'll be making the more popular ones for sure and maybe another 1 or 2 depending.

Future Development

Give that no-one likes a re-run, I won't be showing off any progress done on the unity side of things in regards to translating the Demo-content into Unity unless very pertinent. Infact, if we're talking 'priority levels', working on that is actually pretty low.

What I do think is high priority is asset development, scene developments and the mechanics of the 'instruction' part of the game.

As I've mentioned elsewhere, the training is to be more in the realm of Princess Maker, where you assign her various tasks and book your time on a kind of calendar and let it run. And as it runs, aside from a montage playing, every now and then scenes will crop up (you $10 peeps will have already seen a mock-up of one). Things like small conversations between Keller and L-D19, Keller and other members of the Company, things like that. Not to mention additions to the basic infrastructure of the game such as booking sessions with the company-assigned Harem and Domine thralls and other such things.

As such, I'm hoping to provide one such scene, or a look at some sprite-assets, to be viewed for each update, along with whatever information on game development I can provide, with the aim of eventually providing working models for the different parts until it all rolls together.

Also! As you could gather from the Demo, each way of teaching her is rather different, and equally, the journey you take with L-D19 in each route is going to be different. Relationships develop differently, there'll be some changes to sidequests and etc...and it'd be a crazy thing to work on all of them at once.

As such, for the time being, all the scenes done and narrative to write will be from within the Trust route.

So, yeah! Fun times ahead!

Thanks a ton for all of your support. I've been very happy with the reception of the game so far. I guess if y'all're here I must've done something right, eh? Be sure to not let the Discord go unnoticed, every now and then we do fun stuff there and art for peeps. We may even be using it for something a bit more long-form a few months from now, who knows?

The only one that immediately jumps to mind is the scene with the multiple Ty Lees in the guilt route. Really felt like that would have benefited from some visuals

For a CG scene, I think you can never go wrong with a standing at attention scene somewhere.
