Thrallworks Update #7: Schemes of Scenes

The last couple of weeks have been on the plotting and planning side, architecting and organizing what pages need to be done, what the sideplots and storyarcs are to be, that sort of thing.

Behold my blurry escape from the nightmare land of youtube and online distraction.


Overall, its gone pretty well. Got lists for additions that need doing as well as what might be an interesting way to do the actual instruction portion of the game, though I'll need to workshop it a little so it's both a) not a complete grindfest and b) can be relatively opt-in.

I'm sure that as the idea progresses and I've some art to show you that can explain it or demo it out then I'll be comfortable showing it off in due course. For now though I suppose I'll be showing more straightforward offerings, such as what the title image is about.

Scene Menu

So, as I'm working on all this, I'm also working on a bunch of small scenes that happen during training. These're scenes that vary in size and scope, but can roughly be broken down to small choiceless scenes, scenes with 1 choice in them, and chonkier scenes with 2/3 choices in them or some other special circumstance.

As well as these, there'll also be other narrative scenes that will follow the other characters in the game.

Though I can't really finish these scenes off to their fullest due to me wanting to remake some character assets (or straight-up not even having the assets) I do want to make a downloadable, working archive of them for those curious to have a peek into...perhaps I'll slap it up as a WebGL thing, to be viewed/played through online?

Bearing in mind it will contain big spoilers for the route and all that, so if you'd prefer to absorb it in a more satisfying narrative form come the time then I would certainly invite you to do so. Infact I'd say it'd be recommended. But hey whaddo I know!

Well what I do know is that for each such scene I'd like to make at least one CG. Like this one:

That's in a scene $10 peoples will be somewhat familiar with.

Speaking of, I do intend to give $10 people a bit of a look-in regarding scene selections/storylines. Polls may be involved.

Well considering mmmmminimal commenting in the last update thread, I figure I don't need to poll out the extra CG's to do for the demo! I can likely just do them at my leisure and bung-in the two that were in the comments (though to be fair one of them was already on the cards.)

Right now though, the bug-hunting for the demo has not occurred due to all these happenings. Probably best to do it once a month anyways? Either way expect more clean-up on that front over the next couple of weeks, I know the galleries are a bit of a mess.

Oh I hope this is a good place to put this... While I was playing, I’m not sure how it happened or how to recreate it, but L-D19 was wearing the brown and pink outfit and was bald when the Secretary brought up the image of her... but I picked transparent and unkept hair that run through... It only happened the one time and after I closed and reopened it, the game went smoothly
