Added 2021-09-27 12:32:49 +0000 UTCThis here's Diao, a pal of yours. She's natively from one of the 'aquatic nomad' type tribes that sail between the islands, and has stronger physical characteristics than most do from their parent spirit.

Diao -- reassigned from the home compound for remote assignment on Ariti Island.
Her known sympathies with the esoteric and reclusive "Statue Doctrine" often lead to novel spiritual abilities in the service of Our Goddess Yi Lin -- as well as an individualistic and self-aggrandizing streak typical of that sect.
Bold and brash, she has become a local personality in the island's Foreign District -- in the words of one of our agents, Diao "doesn't know the meaning of 'stay undercover!'" -- and has a small scene of followers whose spiritual entanglement with her is currently unclear. She has been warned to confine her riskier experimentations to other foreigners on the island, rather than upset the delicate political situation with the native population.
Reports from Diao have recently become sporadic and it is clear she is not forthcoming about all relevant details of her plans on Ariti Island. Initial descriptions of a Displaced Ruin spawning in the caverns under the island have had no formal follow-up, and we suspect Diao is hunting for artifacts to strengthen the conduit between herself and Our Goddess.
Nonetheless, we remain confident that with our continued guidance, Diao -- as a high-risk-high-reward servant of Our Goddess Yi Lin -- will lead to great things on Ariti Island.
