'Lo all! Welcome to a slightly late edition of the update, but I wanted to get the above piece done afroe I posted and it ran over a little - to be fair there's still a couple of things I might want to add to the Praetorian, but for the moment, it's a nice background piece!
I picked the characters based on $10 suggestions, some because I thought it'd be fitting, other ones I rolled for. (It's Angela from Gargoyles, Petra from Fire Emblem, and Princess Remedy from...Princess Remedy) I'll definitely do this for other backgrounds that'll involve crowds of people- and might even do more characters with this same background, maybe switching it up based on the time of day or whatever. Might be fun!
Anyway, the last couple of weeks has been sorting out the 'Project Details' part of the UI and the systems therein, and I figured that it'd be nice to give y'all a look at a few and what functions they will have or seek to emulate within the game.
Lets start with one of the screens most pertinent in the other demo, and no less important here-- the Ethos screen!

There was a span of time where I thought of not going down the route of multiple routes, wanting a more linear experience for the game so that I could have more sequential thralls to move onto after Ty Lee. Given how this project is going though, I feel a stout-but-wide build is wiser, with more interactions with other characters and thralls around the edges while you majoratively educate this one.
And so! We have Guilt, Fear and Trust. As you can see, they come with lessons- some, largely in the early stages, are shared between each, but the 'style' or approach to the lesson is different depending on the ethos, and thus the thrall's development and any scenes within them will also be changed.
You can also adopt different styles through your personal skills increasing and bringing different tutors into these lessons.

You can have up to 3 tutors at a time currently, I judge. We'll see how that goes! You also have a number of people and properties affiliated with your project who you can ring up for various things, including seeing if they're interested in being tutors for a span. A good idea to schmooze and talk with people, you never know who you could bring in for an assist!
I also believe that you yourself can end up a tutor for other Instructors, helping them with their thralls. Perhaps that'd be a fun thing to put up for a Poll in the future? We'll see.

Here's a look at Location permissions and the Thrallpod settings. The pod settings are as much for your sake as for your thrall's; particularly things like 'temperature' and 'humidity', which won't bother the thrall at all but could well bother you and other tutors going in.
And naturally, if you want LD to be wandering around, or taking her to more places yourself, you're going to need to work her behaviour (and your own) if you want a request to be approved.

*This* is actually a 'thrall detail', not a 'project detail'- the settings for L-D19's medical implant!
Medical Implants are, amongst other things, also the engine that drives how the thrall continues to function by, informing the thrallskin what to 'eat'. This is normally tuned to very specific types of pellets and/or aerosols, which contain both nutrients 'medical blocks' in them, which the implant then sends to custom organs around the body to manufacture chemicals, repair damaged tissue, and similar. I think it might be nice to have some lectures in the thrallopedia or somewhere about this sort of thing, aye? We'll get Cerise on it.
Anyway, it's a lot of structuring right now, and the UI work is slow and difficult- to have everything in there I've designed and in an appealing manner, linking it to buttons, animations, transitions...I'd still say the finished UI is a few weeks away and the whole of the finished 'scene' a few more weeks beyond that, but I'm really looking forward to the next few updates as I deal with some quality of life stuff, add more details like these, and start slotting it in with the thrallsuit appearance mods. It's likely that I'll be offering a link and a play around with this UI before the scene itself is fully completed, just to let you all design L-D19 a bit!
Fun times! Also, if any of y'all have an interest in seeing one of the scenes currently in Reorientation (Or ReOr as peeps on discord have taken to call it), do pipe up! I'm trying to work through something of a list and it'd be nice to see what people are interested in peeping.
That's all for today- Enjoy!
