Upcoming Project Announcement!

So! It's been a bit slow this month, on the surface. I've been up to something!

Recently, backers got a nice little illustration of Cleo Catra having frisky fun with some ghostly mummy hands. It's a bit niche, but very fun if you ask me. On that post, I asked if backers would be interested in short stories to go alongside pictures like that, and a couple folks seemed interested! My recent foray into smutty MLP fanfiction also went over strikingly well, so I went ahead and gave it a shot!

Things got... mildly out of hand. It turns out I really, really enjoy writing, and smut is far from an exception. What started out as an attempt to provide some mild context for a sexy affair evolved into a personal exploration of a character I've long postponed doing so with (Catra literally started the whole Ketirz thing!), and then once the sexiness actually hit I didn't find myself any less verbose.

So, consequently...

Consider this a formal announcement of a new effort!

Cleo Catra and the Tomb of Desire is going to serve as my first foray into ebook publishing! Consider it a dry run for what I'm attempting to do with Thralls in the long run.

The second draft is nearly finished, and clocks in just a bit shy of 10K words, which is nothing to sneeze at in the world of one-offs (as best I can tell). Once my revision pass is done, I'll throw it at a couple proofreaders and get to adding a handful of unique illustrations for the book!

I'm planning to list it over on Itch.io for something in the $2-$5 range, though I'm a bit unsettled on the exact price, but all backers at time of release will get a copy as well!

You may have noticed the "Kitty Treetz" branding also! This is a working title and I am open to suggestions ("Sexy Seranades" is also on the table, though I worry that misspelling is too subtle to work in my favor for anyone looking to pick up a random indie book that wants anything close to quality). It took a couple weeks to write this, and while it certainly does detract from Thralls' time, my hope is that I can use these one-offs as vessels for stories I otherwise lacked the time for in trying to flesh everything out into comics, and also that over time they can work as a secondary income source for me! Only time will tell, but if nothing else it would be a great vehicle for a couple stories I've teased or even roughed out on here over the years...

I know it's a change of pace, but that might be part of why I'm so excited! I'm trying to play to my strengths in terms of the presentation, especially with the intended illustrations, but if nothing else I hope you all enjoy it when it drops! Ideally it won't be much longer! :)

In the meantime, I hear things are starting to move again over on the Lonely Hooves website, and the comic's been updating again on its main outlets as well! In the meantime, I've also been slowly chiselling away at my commission backlog over on Picarto when I find the time. It's a lot!
