ANNOUNCEMENTS

The next Backer Drawpile will be on Friday, June 27th! I will be shooting for 6 PMish PST again, but y'all know how it goes by now. Time??? What... is time??? Sounds fake.

Anyway, I updated the look of the Patreon page a bit and updated some of the info and tiers. Mainly, I added the Drawpiles officially as a benefit, removed the private streams because I literally can't do those where I'm hosting them these days, and likewise had to nix the KTC's commission discount for now because the main place I'd offer them (surprise box comms and other such things I can flat rate out as a happy little form you fill out on VGen) presently does not support any sort of conditional discounting or coupon codes or what have you. That kinda sucks, but I'll keep y'all posted; I do want to offer that benefit, but don't want to keep listing it as a thing while it's very decidedly not due to platform limitations. I love VGen but also it has a ways to go before they can take that little "BETA" marker off the top of the website...

Finally, if you missed it, there was a nice pin-up illo done of Kazziecat that presently has a nice little collection of alts available for all backers. It's real nice. Just putting that out there.

GAMEDEV

So Steam NextFest just happened, and while calling my excursions "research" kind of feels like a stretch, I still feel like it's good to get a feel for what the standards are at the moment, see how things are doing and how people react, and maybe even participate in giving some devs feedback of my own while I'm at it. Sometimes it's good exercise, even. Sometimes.

There's not really much to report though, even including that. My attentions were elsewhere, I suppose. I can say that the adult games market is... pretty dire?? Bad pickin's this time, y'all. At this point I'd described the bar for quality to be "can get past title screen without breaking Windows," so if nothing else I'm finding a bit of a confidence surge regarding my own abilities.

Let's Build A Dungeon seems really cool though. That's really my main note. No real lessons learned besides a lot of ways to not build a demo. This would be more useful to me if I could imagine a Slime Forest demo that's not basically just "here is Endurance, the main mode of the game, forever. Buy me for harder shit half of you will like less! :D" Maybe a level cut-off or something?? I don't know. I'll ponder it. That day is bound to come eventually, I imagine...

WRITING

So in a blind fit of depressive fury, I forsook my plans last night in favor of actually having something to say about Thralls this time around, because I'm just fucking tired of having nothing to say about Thralls and the writing bug has seized me over the last few days.

So then it was 6 AM and there was about 5000 more words of Thralls suddenly. About half of that was lesbian demoness smut. As the cherry on top, I think I'm finally to a point where I can consider the next batch of chapters stable enough that I can take to editing them for Patron release instead of what I'd been doing, which was sitting there wondering if I wasn't at some point going to be bulk-moving entire scenes around again. I actually rather like the order in which these things were written, and think I'm set up well for what I want to do next, so at long last I can start working on getting some of Act 2 out to y'all. Now that this shit is written through chapter 18. Yeah, there's... there's a bit of it.

Anyway, teasers I guess? Lyselle makes wind and Auna rummages around in some bush while Talia takes a little nap. :) Also, a shrub yells at them a bunch.

It's a very angry shrub.

ANIMATION

The Manor now has has Mia's partner's head in place and a lot more little refinements to the bannister loop. bit by bit! There's not much to say besides what parts get added, I guess. She has legs and a tail now, making her most of a person, save for the distinct lack of face, and she's definitely being eaten out by somebody now, so that's progress.

I also started playing around with Catra on the 13th, because Friday the 13th seems to be a routine day where I get excited to do something sorta spooky and then get overambitious and start real late and then present some half-baked WIP I may or may not ever touch again. It's flowy! And presently hidden behind the $5+ tiers. It's also not very spooky at present, but my plans for it are, so just take my word for it. Very scary! OooOOOOooooOOOOooo~!

Oh, and the Rarity commission is almost done. So close! I basically just gotta finish timing out the back end of it and throw in a nice juicy cum shot, give or take some refining details to really make it shine. Kaz says I did not charge enough for it. Kaz is right lol if I take another one of these it's gonna be way more! But it looks good and I'm having an alright time with it, so there's that.

She's a 10, is what she is, but as for gender the jury is still out and I am under the impression that she likes it that way. And good for her, frankly.

Kaz has taken to R.E.P.O., especially if we can get someone along who makes her feel less like a prey animal. That's been kind of nice, honestly, even if that super does not describe me, the ding-dong who barely knows what's happening half the time and keeps slamming things into the wall. Always nice to have another way to spend time together, though, which is, on that note, what I'm gonna go and do right now as the world burns around us.
