Bi-Weekly Report #40

There's actually a lot to show for my efforts this time around, so let's get right into it.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Lonely Hooves lives?? It's true! Upon getting home, Kaz took to the one sketched page still in the backlog and knocked it out over the next couple days. I then promptly wrote ten more, so look forward to things like "these leeches upon God's teat" and Ditzy Doo going full Freiza.
I also got a page of The Contest up for all backers, killing another overly-long wait for several people who thought that one was dead.
But this is Ketirz. Nothing ever really dies. Not forever. Which is why a new Thralls chapter dropped, too, containing some of my favorite exchanges in the whole tale so far. It's got magic, swearing, and a nice bit of worldbuilding going on too. Read my book!!
I told you I was busy. But we aren't done!
Last but not least, I've finally got my artist page set up and launched over on Bunallow. What was the hold-up, you ask? Simply put, I needed stuff to sell! And now there is stuff to sell! Go look at my new offerings, including the Nurse Kaz key art as a standee!
This spooky season, get your wrists a nice, comfortable present ;)I'm not going to get into progress reports on writing and the like, primarily because I just laid out my whole hand for the week right up there.
COMMISSIONS
I've had a remarkably singular focus the last couple weeks on this front, and the end result is... that we're right where we started, actually. In the business we call that a strong turn-around, though, and it's broadly speaking a good thing! I've even paid most of my bills for the month already?? Not all, mind, and the big scary one is coming up fast (rent, my beloathed nemesis), but it's easily the best we've been sitting in a long while.
Now I just need to, like... keep this up and not drop the ball horribly. What could possibly go wrong?

Haunted House YCH (yo the moving things moved!! It's moving!! I got Mia's linework basically done and have moved on to Halen, who now has... a face!! He basically needs hair and his horns and we can finally get to cleanup and colors on this second group. A year of this! I am trying to get back on track. Don't... don't look at today, today doesn't count. Shut up.)
Vale Trading Card (I have reworked the posing extensively and it is now sick as hell! It's less horny and more having-of-skeletons-in. Raaaaah!)

With the advent of Nurse Kazziecat's partner comms going well enough, I've asked the KTC for nominees for who might come next. Depending how the timeline works out, I've got a couple strong front-runners, so stay tuned!

AND THAT ABOUT DOES IT
Just to cement that I'm also still quite good at goofing off, I've been running through Ys Origin the last couple weeks here and there and finally got through Yunica's story. 12 hours is not an impressive time in a game with a time attack mode, but despite a couple dud boss encounters I found most of my latest trek up the series' iconic Darn Tower to be quite enjoyable. This is good, because the game wants me to do it at least two more times! Good lord.
I've also been winding down a lot with TCG Card Shop Simulator. There's a million others like it at this point, but it seems to be the one that got anywhere and doesn't have a ton of AI slop in it. It's alright, even if its Early Access status shows in a lot of places, especially in the progression. My pace has really slowed down as I don't have much of interest to work on regarding goals and the like at the moment beyond "level up a ton to unlock the ability to unlock a new thing to sell." Mostly, it's a nice way to live the fantasy of being financially stable to such an extent that I literally cannot spend all my money even if I try. It's like being Jeff Bezos, except I only have like 150K instead of billions and billions of dollars. And my target audience is people who spend thousands of dollars on bootleg Pokémon cards. Guilt-free capitalism! A fantasy, indeed.
So, what's next? Time will tell! I've kinda been winging it lately, albeit with some sense of direction. It's a surprise for everyone! Let's find out together!
