well most gags with something stuffed in your mouth would cause your saliva glands to make excess saliva as they see your mouth as open which is a sign for them to produce saliva to keep your mouth from drying out, which is why its realistic with people draw drool when there is something like a ball gag, bit gag, ring gag, etc. is involved...
