I do enjoy that we get a satisfying beat down even though brute force was never going to work against these giant women. I mean the gems did that grand wombo combo attack, and it was STILL only barely enough to bring Blue to her knees. Then Yellow shows up and spends absolutely zero seconds dicking around.

So the crew said "well, then 'he's' gonna be in a dress, AND the wedding episode will be plot-vital so you can't just skip it. I think they ended up cutting out the whole wedding part and just starting at Garnet re-fusing.
