It got cancelled because the 5th season didn't have "a kid's entry point" exec said to Owen that it seemed to be a really mature season and they didn't see how a kid could watch it. So the 5th season is written but not animated, originally it was supposed to be 8 seasons, and we the fans are still hopping it will get pick up by other company or something
