In the manga hes a selfish pure hearted warrior, and its only a amplified when hes in the super saiyan state, he just wanted frieza to survive so he could fight him again because hes a drug addict for battle

2025-02-27 17:17:15 +0000 UTCTo explain the Yamamoto thing, episodes 1-52 of the dub were officially released with the Yamamoto score (before the whole plagiarism scandal), whereas the sub was close to the end of the Android arc. Therefore, what the Revival project is, a group of people, took the dub audio and went in episode-by-episode and carefully re-added in all the Yamamoto music where it was originally, from the sub. Any subsequent official release of Kai after the scandal has the replacement Kikuchi score (which is what you had been using up until episode 45). TL;DR: Officially, Kai episodes 53-98 were never released dubbed with the original Yamamoto score, and so the Revival project sought to re-add said score back in.
