Added 2025-02-28 01:20:43 +0000 UTCHey everyone, Patreon and Apple just dropped a HUGE announcement regarding purchasing memberships on Patreon through Apple devices in the built in Patreon app!
Essentially Apple takes 30% of all payments processed through in app purchases which INCLUDE any memberships you subscribe to through the Apple Patreon app.
THIS ONLY AFFECTS NEW MEMBERSHIPS.
This means that if you subscribe to someone NEW through the Patreon app, from here on out it will cost 30% more than if you subscribed through your web browser or even on your phone browser logged into patreon. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up as they move forwards with their subscriptions!
