So one small detail that was missed at the end of the fight with Goto. It takes two Hunters to restrain both of them. In the Manhwa, it only took ONE Hunter to restrain Goto while Jinwoo had two. It's a small detail, but speaks to the actual gulf in strength that more was required to stop Jinwoo. So either the change was made to make Goto appear at least on par with Jinwoo, or it's a novel thing. Because from what I understand the anime is pulling from both the light novels and the Manhwa.

2025-03-09 04:07:09 +0000 UTC100% agree with this. The Japanese REALLY don't like negative stuff towards their gov't and are very sensitive to topics like that. They went so far as to do a completely other version for Japan that changes all of the names and localizes everything to Japan just because of how much they didn't like those parts of the story that made them out to be the bad guys. Kinda nuts if you ask me but thats Japan for ya. They also are archaic in policies like fair use etc which is why anime reactions can be such hot issues sometimes.

At this rate it seems like they're def gonna finish Jeju this season and leave us with some nice teases for S3. One thing that had me laughing was at 28:23. Taylor: "Yeah so they have a healer". Me: "Correction - they HAD a healer..." rofl. Poor Shimizu. The fact that "it" went for a healer first DEFINITELY isn't a good sign at all. That be one smart bug...

2025-03-08 23:34:14 +0000 UTCI think that they scaled things back significantly in the training section and a bunch of scheming specifically to avoid the ire of the Japanese government which... for lack of a better phrasing don't like it when their government is criticized on a larger scale, so, I wouldn't say that Goto or the other's motivations or personalities changed, but more like they masked it better and the fights ended sooner to get to the co-op aspect so thr Japanese are still seen as "good" or "neutral" at the worst... I think that's what has gone on with the Manwha vs Anime scenes... they just avoided it and shortened Japanese vs Korean fights and didn't show backdoor politics.
