Didn't cell leave like 3 years after Trunks originally? So he was a super saiyan and there was plenty of time to get his DNA.

2025-05-25 19:03:47 +0000 UTCprobably the most notable plot hole in the series, but since Cell is from a future where Goku is dead, Trunks wasn't around to kill Frieza and King Cold to have his dna, as Goku would have been the one there to kill them. Kinda wish they had fixed this, but it is accurate to the manga I suppose.

Unlike most beings who transform to increase their power, Frieza’s forms are actually in reverse: each earlier form is a way to suppress and control his immense energy. His power was so overwhelming that he had to compress it into weaker states just to manage it. That means his final and fourth form, isn’t a power-up transformation, but his original, true form. King Cold, lacking such overwhelming strength, never developed or required this kind of control, which further proves he was far below his son’s level. Also I believe Gohan saying there’s someone stronger than Frieza is just a mistranslation lol
