The English translation of the title is a slight mistranslation. But also, probably unintentionally, maybe not, I don't know, it also hides the name of erens titan until now.

He wiped the memories of the people except those he couldn't and a few "noble" families that they used to control everything from behind the curtain. He also created a religion to reinforce the lie. I think this is why they changed the name from Fritz to Reiss. To stop people from being able to find them. There also seems to be some things that they couldn't erase. Think of it like this, the people instinctively knew the names of the 9 titans aside MC. Even after Annie was identified, they always referred to her as the female titan. Same for Armored, Colossal, and Beast.

2025-05-25 22:09:08 +0000 UTCJust a heads up. The first episode of Season 4 is NOT the past. Pay attention to the dialogue and it will explain everything. So many reactors get it wrong. Also they went with a new animation studio in Season 4. Studio Mappa did the animations for that season and it has more of a realistic "90's anime" vibe with its animation style and somewhat muted colors.
