So I think he feels kinda obligated now more than ever to listen in on the younger generation’s conversations and get to know them better so he can help decide who will be best for what position or job, especially now that we have a whole new world and political environment to contend with. And ya, Levi hasn’t really been the “leader” type up till now. But I think he trusted Erwin more than he trusts Hange. He likes Hange, is friends with Hange and respects her as a comrade but I think his trust for Erwin was just that little bit more that his absence compels him to take a more active role in leadership lol
